Look below to find the location and solution to every Mountain Reliquary Puzzle in Ghost of Yotei!
How to Solve the Reliquary of Courage
Reliquary of Courage Location & Puzzle Solution
The Reliquary of Courage is located in the western region of the Yotei Grasslands. Players will find this Reliquary by heading up the Sarubetsu River and taking a left when the river diverges into two. Eventually, you’ll come into contact with an open field surrounded by tall bushes, and the only thing you can see over the bushes is Mount Yotei. In the center of this garden is the Reliquary of Courage, and inspecting the altar shows the riddle:
A boy was lost and alone
But wolves came from every corner to guide him
Their eyes gazing at the true Mount Yotei
The solution here is to spin each of the fox statues so that they are all facing Mount Yotei. The fox statues are not connected to each other, so you’re free to rotate them without the other also rotating. Each statue is found in a direction directly from the altar, so locate each fox statue from north, east, south, and west within the garden and interact with them until each statue is facing west toward Mount Yotei. Upon doing so, the altar will unlock and reveal the treasure inside.
If this is your first Reliquary puzzle, you be awarded with the Charm of Mount Yotei, which reduces all damage taken by a minor amount, and you regain health after a Perfect Parry.
How to Solve the Reliquary of Strength
Reliquary of Strength Location & Puzzle Solution
The Reliquary of Strength is located near Ishikari Fork in the Ishikari Plain region. Players can find the Reliquary of Strength by heading north of the Ishikari River until they locate a mountain in the east. Follow around the bend of this mountain and climb it to the top to find the puzzle. Once you’re here, you can read the inscription at the altar:
The mountain raised the boy as her own
Demons looked away from them in fear
But the wolf watched them both, ready to provide aid
The solution to the Reliquary of Strength is that players must move the fox statues with the demon masks so that they are facing away from the altar, while the fox statue without the mask remains looking at the altar. However, moving one statue will move another, so you must move them in a specific order. We’ve listed that order below:
- Spin the front left statue once
- Spin the back left statue twice
- Spin the front left statue once
- Spin the front right statue twice
After interacting with the statues in the following order, the altar will unlock, and you will have completed this Reliquary puzzle. If this is your second completion, then you will be awarded with an upgrade to the Charm of Mount Yotei, along with the Yotei’s Shelter Hat to wear.
How to Solve the Reliquary of Resilience
Reliquary of Resilience Location & Puzzle Solution
The Reliquary of Resilience is located in Tokachi Range. Specifically, it can be found by following the Nupur River north, where, once you’re at the Serpent’s Pass, you can head east. This Reliquary is found to the east on the mountain, and the inscription at the altar reads:
Within the caverns of Mount Yotei, a lost boy surrendered to a tired sleep
The wolves stood guard
Looking toward the mountain
The solution to this puzzle is simple. Players must turn the fox statues so that they are all facing the pillar. However, this Reliquary puzzle continues the same trend in which moving one moves another. As such, we’ve once again outlined the solution on how we managed to get all fox statues facing the altar without any being out of place:
- Spin the front left statue once
- Spin the back left statue twice
- Spin the front left statue once
- Spin the front right statue twice
- Spin the back right statue twice
Solving the puzzle will reward players with yet another upgrade to the Charm of Mount Yotei, along with a new skin for the Katana: Yotei’s Charge Weapon Kit.
How to Solve the Reliquary of Compassion
Reliquary of Compassion Location & Puzzle Solution
The Reliquary of Compassion is located in Teshio Ridge through Sarobetsu Lake, accessed via the north west path in the region. Before players start, it’s vitally important that they have purchased the Hankyu bow from Ran the Bowyer, who is located at any Inn and Village. Once players make it to the lake, they can head directly north of the inn to find the Chilled Peak Shrine gate. Players will need to head through this gate and follow the path up the mountain, but once they eventually reach another ice lake, head immediately left and continue on this path to find the Reliquary of Compassion. If you’re struggling to find the Reliquary of Compassion, click here to see a video. After finally reaching this reliquary altar, you can read the description:
The mountain took pity on the boy with no home
And lit her fire to keep the boy warm
The wolves gathered around, eyes on the mountain’s hearth
In order to actually move the fox statues, you must first use the Hankyu Bow to shoot the bundle of sticks underneath each statue with Fire Arrows. If you run out of Fire Arrows, there are more at the entrance to the Reliquary of Compassion. After each statue has been lit, you will need to spin all 4 statues so that the foxes are facing the altar. This puzzle is far simpler than the others, and here’s how we solved it:
- Spin the front left statue twice
- Spin the back left statue twice
- Spin the back right statue twice
- Spin the front right statue twice
If this is the 4th Reliquary puzzle you have completed, you will be rewarded with the Yotei’s Mercy Mask, and yet another upgrade to the Charm of Mount Yotei.
How to Solve the Reliquary of Faith
Reliquary of Faith Location & Puzzle Solution
The Reliquary of Faith is located in Oshima Coast, but this area is only accessible after players have finished The Oni and The Kitsune tales. Once players have access to Oshima Coast, start from the entrance and immediately head left to the east. You’ll be taken up a mountain range where you’ll eventually find the Reliquary of Faith, and the final inscription on the altar reads:
The boy-made man crafted blessings of his own
So others born under Mountain Yotei
Will look to the true mountain for strength
This puzzle has 4 statues, but you can only move 3 of them, as the 4th is on an unreachable rock. You need to move the statues so that all 4 are facing Mount Yotei, and here’s how:
- Spin the middle statue once
- Spin the right statue once
- Spin the middle statue twice
If this is your final Reliquary puzzle, you will be awarded with the Yotei’s Blessing Dye for the Mercenary Outfit, along with the final upgrade to the Charm of Mount Yotei. You will also be given the Child of the Mountain Bronze Trophy.
