WWE and Call of Duty Are Crossing Over

Call of Duty and WWE are coming together for a brand-new collaboration, which will see Call of Duty Mobile feature Alexa Bliss and The Undertaker in the upcoming Season 9 update. So far in 2025, Call of Duty Mobile has partnered with a variety of notable names, from popular anime to top sports athletes.

After its collaboration with renowned baseball player Ronald Acuna Jr in July, Call of Duty Mobile has once again looked to athletes to boost the game’s appeal. The newly revealed WWE crossover is yet another unique addition to the game’s intriguing list of collaborators this year. Back in June, Call of Duty Mobile devs incorporated Gundam-inspired content into the game as part of the Season 6 update. Prior to that, in May, the mobile shooter joined hands with NieR: Automata in a bid to leverage the latter’s popularity among action-RPG enthusiasts.

Call of Duty Mobile and WWE Collaboration to Arrive in Season 9

Starting on October 1 at 5 PM PT (8 PM ET), Call of Duty Mobile fans will be able to access Season 9 – Midnight Rumble, which brings WWE-centric crossover content into the game. Similar to Call of Duty‘s WWE team-up last year for Black Ops 6, certain WWE wrestlers, namely Alexa Bliss and The Undertaker, are set to make their way into the game, more precisely, through the upcoming Limited Time Mode. This particular mode will involve players diving into a match with the Prizefighter weapon (boxing gloves) equipped and then transforming into a WWE operator upon going on a hot streak. Once they have transformed, they can also execute finishing moves from any direction and make use of improved character abilities, such as an increased health.

Moreover, WWE-themed events, offering Entry Tickets as a reward, have also been added to Call of Duty Mobile. These reward points can be used to obtain SmackDown points by completing certain mini-games, which can then be used for collecting rewards, such as CR-56 AMAX (Furious Finisher Weapon Blueprint) and Minotaur (Fractured Fiend Operator Skin). Further, players will also be able to purchase draws centered around Alexa Bliss and The Undertaker from the in-game store. Apart from the WWE crossover content, TiMi Studio Group also plans to boost the appeal of Call of Duty Mobile‘s new season via the return of certain fan-favorite maps and modes, such as Haunted Hacienda, Isolated, Attack of the Undead, and Hordepoint.

Although there were reports earlier in 2025 about new Call of Duty projects for mobile, there has been little to no indication of Activision following through with such a plan. As a consequence, Call of Duty Mobile continues to be the franchise’s focal point for its smartphone gaming business. With that in mind, high-profile collaborations, such as the one with WWE, appear to make good sense for the future of the live-service title.
